Living the Lab Life: Sixth Form Conference
We are pleased to announce details of 'Living the Lab Life', an online conference for sixth form students. This event gives students the chance to hear directly from scientists about their career journeys, have their questions answered, and learn about the research taking place at the Babraham Institute. Students can further engage in the event by submitting a poster based on Institute research, with a prize for the best submission!
The conference takes place on Thursday 26 November, starting at 6pm. It is open to all Year 12 and Year 13 students, though parents and teachers are also welcome to attend. All attendees should register individually, through our booking form.
Get involved and be part of the conference! We are asking for students to send in science posters in advance of the conference. The brief is simple: any topic which relates to BI research is welcome! To give you a few ideas, this could include:
- Stem cells
- The immune system
- Biological ageing
- Use of animals in research
For more inspiration, browse the research section of our website!
The deadline for poster submissions is Thursday 19th November (one week before the conference). For a suggested poster format and layout, please download this poster template. Students should email their posters to PE@babraham.ac.uk. While poster submission is not compulsory, we encourage all students attending to join in. There will be a prize for the best entry!
Please note the programme is subject to change.
