Mark Cheong had recently completed his bachelor's degree in food science and nutrition and is keen in the research of nutritional modulation of human health. He joined the Trefely Lab in early 2022 and is mainly tasked with maintaining the state-of-the-art mass spectrometer and optimising the quantitation of metabolites. His work focuses on the compartmentalisation of metabolites in the organelles of the cell focusing on the dynamic transport of metabolites in and out of the nucleus.
