Joined the Board in August 2017.

Graham Allen (Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees) graduated in Chemistry in 1980 from the University of Oxford. After working for the Open University, in 1983 he joined  the central administration at Cambridge University.  In 1996 he became Deputy Secretary General of the Faculties and from 2002-15 he was Academic Secretary. As a senior officer of the University he was Secretary of the General Board of the Faculties  and Head of the Academic Division with wide ranging responsibilities for the University's teaching and research programmes and for academic strategy. He has been  a Fellow of Wolfson College Cambridge since 1999 and has served as Vice-President since 2015. He is also a member of the University’s Board of Scrutiny, of which he is currently Secretary. He has previously served as a Governor of Bromsgrove School, and of the Council of Governors of the Papworth NHS Foundation Trust.
