Having completed her BSc and MSc in Biochemistry from Nigeria, she moved to Spain in 2018 for a second MSc in Biomedical Research at the University of Lleida. Bolanle obtained her PhD in 2023 from the University of Bonn, where she investigated the interplay between cannabinoid receptor 2 and microglial activation. Shortly after her PhD, she joined the David lab and is currently investigating how extracellular regulators of proteostasis affect microglial functions in ageing and neurodegeneration.
