Maha

Maha is the KEC Officer in the Institute’s Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation team, where she identifies and evaluates new discoveries arising from the Institute’s research, supports inventors with the protection and commercialisation of their intellectual property, as well as developing entrepreneurial development opportunities for Institute researchers.

Maha joined the Babraham Institute in September 2023. Previously Maha worked as an Enterprise and Intellectual Property Officer at St George’s, University of London and where she supported the University’s intellectual property portfolio and supported industry and academic relationships.  She developed her commercial knowledge through a Masters in Stem Cells and Regenerative Therapies (From Bench to Market) from King’s College London and worked as an IP and Licensing team within the IP and Licensing department at King’s College London where she developed thorough understanding of the patent filing process and actively worked along experienced IP and commercialisation managers. Her interest in the Babraham Institute’s research stems from having trained as a Biomedical Scientist and having studied an undergraduate degree at Kingston University in Biological and Biomedical Sciences.
