Andrea completed her B.Sc in Biotechnology at Politechnic University of Valencia in 2015. She then specialised in human reproduction by completing a year residence at the IVF unit of Hospital La Fe and was awarded an M.Sc, in Biotechnology of Human Assisted Reproduction from University of Valencia. In 2019, Andrea was awarded a position funded by Carlos III Health Institute to perform her Ph.D. in the Endometrial Receptivity and Embryo Competence Research Group at IVI Foundation – Health Research Institute La Fe.
Since then, she has been involved in several projects focused on the in vitro culture and functional characterisation of endometrial stromal and epithelial cells and early embryo development in the context of human implantation. Andrea was awarded with a mobility grant funded by Carlos III Health Institute to join Babraham Institute in January 2021 as a visiting researcher.
