Samar Tareen

I am a systems biologist and computational biologist working in biological data analysis at the cellular and molecular level. I completed my PhD in 2020 wherein I was working in the domain of obesity and chronic illnesses, specifically the effects of weight loss in the adipose tissue biochemical processes and their link with metabolic flexibility. Here at the Liston Lab, I am working as a bioinformatician, analysing data and developing software platforms for data visualisation and analysis. The current project that I am a part of deals with regulatory T-cell populations in different tissues, exploring the differences and similarities in their roles, genes expression and cellular processes.

My interests include data visualisation, network biology, modelling and simulation of cellular processes, as well as mapping static data onto dynamic systems.
