The future of genome editing

Genome editing allows sections of DNA to be precisely removed or replaced.  A panel of experts from four Cambridge research institutes will respond to public questions about the current and future applications of this technique.

We would like to invite you to take part in an open discussion about the potential of genome editing.  During the evening, you will hear a range of opinions and expertise from active researchers who will introduce you to the latest scientific developments in the field.  You will be invited to question our panel and to contribute to the discussion but no prior knowledge is expected and all opinions are welcome.

This event is co-hosted by four leading research institutes: The Babraham Institute, Wellcome Trust-Medical Research Council Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, Wellcome Genome Campus and the Wellcome Trust/Cancer Research UK Gurdon Institute.
