The Babraham Institute actively seeks partners to work with, in order to extend its reach and influence.  We aim to maximise the impact of our science and wider activities by engaging with a number of different partners.  This section provides further details of partnerships in key areas.

Research and Training

Babraham Institute has the status of a recognized postgraduate institution with the Universtity of Cambridge.  All our students are registered within the Faculty of Biology for the PhD degree and our Group Leaders are full university supervisors.
EU Life Consortium


The Babraham Institute is a member of EU-LIFE, an alliance of 13 top European research centres in life sciences to foster excellence in research, share knowledge and influence policy.  Partners in the alliance are renowned research centres that operate with similar principles of excellence.

We work closely with the organisations such as STEMNET, where a number of our researchers are STEM ambassadors, the University Technical College, which we sponsor, and the Cambridge Area Partnership.
Knowledge Exchange Forum


We work closely with Babraham Institute Enterprise to identify knowledge exchange and commercialisation opportunities. We are always looking to work with biotech and pharmaceutical companies to collaborate on projects of mutual interest.  For more information please see Industry Pages.
