Electrical Maintenance Engineer


We are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team. The job holder will carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks to various buildings, including working on motors, controllers, lighting control systems and LV distribution, including opportunities to work on small electrical projects and installations.
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Electrician with in depth knowledge of the operation and maintenance of electrical systems and M&E Engineering. Experience in Fire Alarms, LV switchgear and installations, external lighting and PPM maintenance are essential.
A full electrical apprenticeship and 17th edition Electrical Regulations is essential. A Test and Inspection qualification would be desirable.
The successful candidate should have a good understanding of electrical fault-finding including locating the cause and carrying out remedial repairs, the ability to read and understand drawings as well as good interpersonal skills. Previous experience of working on scientific/laboratory buildings would be an advantage.
There will be a requirement to provide out-of-hours services on a rota basis.
Starting salary is £23,228 per annum to £27,000 per annum depending on experience, plus an allowance of £5,000 per annum.
