Postdoctoral Research Scientist c. £28,400 p.a.

The Babraham Institute is a charity which is world renowned for its research in life sciences to enhance lives and improve wellbeing.

We are seeking a postdoctoral researched to work on a Wellcome Trust-funded project to elucidate the role of PI3K in immunity and infection. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in immunology, microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry or a related field and will join a dynamic team of 9 researches who work on different aspects of innate and adaptive immunity. The project will involve advanced techniques used in immunological research, including imaging, flow cytometry, molecular biology and biochemistry to discover and characterise signalling pathways initiated by 3-phosphorylated inositide lipids and how these control innate resistance to infection and protective memory T cell responses.
