Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS)

The Facility offers cell sorting on a Becton Dickinson FACSAria , capable of sorting 18,000 cells per second. The three laser optical system enables work with up to nine colour analysis and the sorting of specific cell populations, for example B-lymphocytes. Flow cytometry analysis of cell suspensions can be performed on a BD LSRII (eight colours) or a FACSCalibur (four colours) benchtop analysers.
