The Babraham Research Campus, encompassing the Babraham Institute, Babraham Bioscience Technologies Ltd (BBT) and the resident companies of the BioIncubator facility, is situated on the Babraham Estate, an 182 hectare parkland setting six miles South-East of Cambridge.
The Estate and Facilities Management Division of the Babraham Institute oversees all aspects of the Babraham Group's Estate Strategy, including: conservation and preservation; landscaping; management of scientific and technical facilities; the maintenance of infrastructure and utilities; engineering works and managing the construction of the new buildings that are part of the campus' BioDevelopment Initiative.
The Campus is expanding to accommodate the twin activities of research and commercial development: a range of new commercial properties on the Babraham Research Campus is being developed to promote knowledge transfer, bringing together the Babraham Institute's world-class science base with innovative ventures exploiting new bio-technologies relating to human healthcare. Building on the success of the Babraham Bioincubator, three BioDevelopment Buildings will offer grow-on accommodation for small and medium sized companies that are part of the vibrant Babraham Research Campus.
The Babraham Group provides estate, scientific, technical, business and utility services to all on the research campus, on an a la carte and charged for basis. The Babraham Group is committed to adopting and promoting environmental best practice in connection with carrying out its own operations, and to ensuring that its tenants, suppliers and contractors do the same.
